Michael was a loving and dedicated father, grandfather, and friend. One of Michael’s biggest accomplishments was being a father. His daughter called her dad a hero, and even as adults, still see him that way. He was always there for her and his friends through their ups and downs, and taught them to enjoy every moment life has to offer and to never give up.
Michael’s Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 18th from 10am-12pm with his Service following from 12pm-1pm at Arndt Funeral Home, located at 1118 Long Pond Road, Rochester, NY 14626. We welcome all who loved Michael to come.
Michael was one of my favorite nephew’s I was hoping to be able to get him down here to Corning to to have a family get-together with him and Kelly. He took care of my mother-in-law when we needed a break and he was a loving person. He shall be missed
Michael and i were married, July 5, 1980. We were married 12 years and it was a time i will never forget. He was a good husband, father, grandfather and we continued our friendship throughout all these years. He was a loving man, who treasured our daughter Keli, and our grandchildren. I thank you Mike for all your goodness and showing what it takes to be a good man. I love you my dear friend and i will miss you. Our memories have a special place in my heart that only you and i could cherish. Fly with the angels and be at peace. Forever in my heart! Love, Kim
Michael was an amazing person, father, friend, and a father like role model to many of us! He was thoughtful and caring. His presence will be truly missed!!! Sending love to his daughter Keli and her children who thought the world of this great man!
Keli and Family,
I am so very sorry for the loss of your Father. Your love for him shined on FB everytime you spoke of your dad, whether it was good news or his health concerns. It may take some time, but try to remember the good memories, they will make you smile again. Thoughts and prayers are with you

Sometimes I lie awake and wonder
Where the years have gone
They have all passed under
Sleeps Dark and Silent Gate —Jackson Browne.
Well, those sleepless nights have been constant since I
learned my brother, Michael, has passed away. He
becomes the first of the “Cooper Clan” to meet
our Mother on the other side. Sadness for us all but
particularly for Keli. Very sorry I won’t be able to attend the Memorial 8/18. But as you all gather, please remember and hold on to the happy memories you &
Michael have made. I can’t sugarcoat the fact he often
made his and others lives more difficult. That’s over now. I’ll remember the walk up Mill Hill Rd, after a SCS skate party, snow up to the knees (Yes, another one to
practice for Christmas Eve), the ‘73 Firebird he let me bomb around town, a visit to Rochester to his/Kim’s apt & a July 4th rainy backyard BBQ & the times we got together at Mom/Walt’s down in Va & even in Fl one time. He had quite the green thumb, so take care of that Umbrella plant, Keli. I already named him Mike.
Rest In Peace, Brother.
Just wanted to let you know Mike (umbrella plant) is doing well. I have never been able to grow anything or have a green thumb ever but I have nursed it back to health after the cold winter. I am lovingly caring for Mike every day and talking to it. Thank you Uncle Jerry.
Michael was a good man he would give you the shirt off his back, may he rest in peace
Michael was our Best Man for our Wedding on September 21, 1991 on Cape Cod. We loved him dearly and we are on the precipice of our 30th Anniversary. We were looking thru our photo album the last few days and reminiscing about the lovely times we had. Stuart was on the Internet and just learned that Mike had passed. This must indeed be a God Wink! Carole and Mike worked together at Sigma Marketing Group. Mike was a very special, loving and generous human being! We send thoughts and prayers to his Family, friends and loved ones. A life well lived, and gone too soon!!
Thank you for your kind words. He is truly missed every day.
