Rochester, NY: Passed away on November 14, 2020 at the age of 92. Predeceased by his parents Michael Sr. & Laura and brother Edward Minardo. Survived by his daughter Michele (Lucian) Malycha, grandson David Malycha (Lindsay Morales), great granddaughter Teagan Marie, ex-wife Rose Santirocco, sister-n-law Virginia Marafioti, nieces and nephew and several close long-time friends. A very special thank you to his dear friend Diane LaMartina.
Michael served in the United States Army. He was devoted to his family and friends, loved sports and was very passionate about his landscaping work.
No prior calling hours. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday December 5th, 10:00 a.m. at St. Stanislaus Church, 1124 Hudson Avenue. Inurnment following at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery. Services will be available livestream at: https://www.saintstanislausrochester.org for those unable to attend due to COVID.
A celebration of life will be held for Michael in the Spring of 2021. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
RIP Uncle Mike. He was a big part of upbringing on Delamaine Dr. Played ball with all the kids. We would line us up to play catch with him. He would say “nobody will throw this ball harder to you then I will now” He was right. We would walk away with our hands beet red. Never forgot that. Thoughts and prayers to all. Chris Kuech
my wife and i knew mike and rose and ed since the 1960’s.bowled against him for many years. always enjoyed seeing and talking to mike.he always made us laugh.last saw mike about 8 years ago we hugged and talked for some time. brought back so many good memories. may god bless mike and his family’rest in peace buddy.
I met Mike in 1968 when I was 15 yrs old and working at Irondequoit lanes. Mike was a terrific bowler and a great guy. We bowled together in 3 classic leagues and won many league championships. We lost touch over the last few years but I will always remember Mike with great fondness. Rest in Peace Mike.

Some of our best mornings were having breakfast with Mike at Tommy’s or dinner with him on Goodman St. He was a delightful man with a kind heart. He loved you all dearly.
I haven’t seen Mike in a while since we moved to Naples, Florida but we think of you often. Our sincere sympathy.

Mike- it’s been a couple years since I’ve bumped into you at Ridge Donut. I always remember the times with my you, my dad, Sam Cutaia, And the rest of the “round table” at LaMartina’s. I thank you for all the conversations and lessons you taught me as a young young adult. I remember the first time we all met, I think I was about 10 or so. I remember I asked my dad for you to have dinner with us because you looked very similar to my Grandpa haha. But we all spent a good 10 years or so at that restaurant eating. All walks of life came by that table. They could make a movie about it. I remember that strong grip you had! How you would tease everybody. Good memories and so many of them.. It was always nice bumping into to you at Ridge Donut year and years later. I’m glad I was able to share with you how I made something of myself. I miss those conversations my friend. You gave me a connection to the “old ways”. Something that I feel is missing more and more in this country. Thank you for everything. I hope you are peace Mike.
