Rochester, NY – November 04, 2022 at age 84.
Nancy is predeceased by her parents, Benjamin and Helen Himes and her sister Patricia Preston (Gene). She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years Robert; son David, daughter-in-law Maureen Ryan and grandson Wyatt; daughter Debra DeCarlo, son-in-law Robert and granddaughter Lindsay. She is also survived by her sisters: Beverly (Edward) Huber, Elaine (Bob) Lissow, Diane (Dale) Rowe and Barbara (David) Miroff and many nieces and nephews.
Nancy took great pleasure in collecting antiques and decorating her home. She also was an avid gardener, landscaping her yard with stone paths and wildflowers, and attracting birds and other wildlife. Additionally, she loved meeting new people and was an inquisitive and enthusiastic conversationalist. Nancy also enjoyed playing hymns on her piano, entertaining, and being with family and friends. She lived an exemplary life full of laughter, love and being loved.
Though by far Nancy’s greatest joy in life was her family, which she prized over everything else, especially her beloved grandchildren Wyatt and Lindsay.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her.
A private service and interment to be held at the convenience of the family.
