Patricia A. Fish

Patricia A. Fish-Rochester Cremation

On August 4th, 2024, Patricia A. (Burns) Fish, 75, of Waterloo, New York fought a brave fight and passed away at home leaving her loving family and many friends to mourn her sudden loss.
On October 21st of 1948, Patricia (Pat) made her grand entrance to the world. She graduated from Waterloo Central School and began her long nursing career. After studying and graduating from the Willard School of Nursing, she continued onto her 25 years of service at Willard Psychiatric Center. In 1991, she moved herself and the family to Okeechobee and Fort Pierce, Florida to pursue other nursing opportunities. In 2002, she relocated to Redfield and Aberdeen, South Dakota. Having worked at a number of facilities, she had created numerous lasting friendships all over the country. She happily retired in 2004 to spend more quality time with her children and grandchildren. In 2017, she decided that she wanted to move back home to upstate New York. She ultimately settled where it all began: Waterloo, New York. Throughout her years, Pat gave everyone her absolute best. She was full of life, laughter, and inspiration to so many. She treated everyone as she would want to be treated: with love, respect, support and admiration. Her true focus was her family and friends. She loved spending time with her family and friends, whether it be going on
adventure rides, playing cards, just chatting, adult coloring or sharing her moments on her Sunday morning blogs to name a few. Pat, the attentive mother, the doting grandmother, the bestest friend, the loving “sister”, will always be loved and cherished to the end of time. Pat is survived by her sons, Robert F. Miller and Michael P. Miller, her grandchildren, Alexis, Everett (Ev), Samantha (Sam) and Kathryn(Katy). She is predeceased by her parents Francis E. Burns and Alice M. (Scannell) Burns, and her daughter, Alicia M. (Fish) Bockoras.

I am missing my friend. We worked together at New Horizons and Pat was a good and kind nurse, someone I trusted. We worked with the mental ill and held each other up in helping this population. Once she moved away, I followed her on fb and enjoyed her humor and joy in life. Pat, I will miss you, kind soul….
