Pat was my good friend for 65 years. After graduating from high school, Pat and I were never geographically close, yet, we never lost the bonds we made during our 6 years at Charlotte High. No matter how long it had been since we’d been together, we could always pick up just where we left off. I admired Pat for her artistic creativity and her amazing intelligence. I love Pat because she loved me, and we always made each other laugh. They say you are lucky if you have 3 good friends during your lifetime. I know how very lucky I was the day Pat Ford and I became BFFs. Rest in Peace, and give your parents a hug from me.
My condolences to Dave Dixon, Pat’s cousins, and her friends in Geneseo.
Pat and I were friends for 65 years. Although we were never geographically close after graduating high school, we did not lose the bonds we made during our 6 years at Charlotte High. We could always pick up where we left off as if no time had passed. I love Pat and Pat loved me, and we could always make each other laugh. Rest in peace, and give your Mom and Dad a hug from me. Don’t ever forget you are “Gneiss!” I will miss you!
My sincere condolences to Dave Dixon and family, Pat’s cousins, and Geneseo friends.
Sorry I thought I had lost the first one!
I, too, was a high school classmate of Pat’s and had quite a crush on her. As Karen mentioned, we were all together for six years, not because we were slow, but because the school was 7th through 12th grade. All these years later, I was not successful in reconnecting with Pat, but was very saddened to hear of her passing through Karen. I find it very troubling not to be able to make a meaningful contact with someone again, during the “living years,” as the song says. Rest in peace, Pat, knowing that you are very fondly remembered.
