ROCHESTER, NY – November 5, 2022 at age 69. Patrick is predeceased by his wife and love of his life, Donna; his parents Kenneth and Catherine McHugh. He is survived by daughter, Libby (Samantha); son Dan (Sarah); Brothers Thomas (Linda) and Michael (Patti); 5 grandchildren, Annika, Lilliana, Santino, Addison and Jaxson. Pat loved his family very much, enjoyed spending time with his friends at the Carriage Factory and was an avid sports fan very enthusiastic about the New York Giants and horse racing.
The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses and care givers at Strong Memorial Hospital who took fantastic care of him in his final days. No donations are requested.
There will be a graveside service held at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, 2461 Lake Avenue, Rochester, NY 14612 on Saturday, November 12th at 10:00 AM.
Dear Tommy, Michael, Patrick’s Children and Grandchildren,
I’m very sorry that Patrick has died. I just found out tonight. I’d seen him recently for coffee. We had a wonderful time. He ordered banana bread and said how much he loved his Mother’s banana bread. He was very happy. His beautiful smile was so nice and easy. He seemed so free. It was a pleasure to be in his company.
Patrick was very kind to me and our family when my father died. He came to our house immediately to comfort us. We sat in the living room and talked. He was there for us 100%. When I was a little girl and met Patrick for the first time, I liked him. From that time on, whenever I saw Patrick we had fun. God placed this special person on earth for a certain amount of time and I was lucky to know him.
I’ll be praying for you and know that you’re not alone.
