Rochester, NY: On the morning of May 3, 2021, at 74 years old, this world lost an amazing man. Paul Andrew Starzynski was a wonderful husband of almost 46 years to Beth (Wiegand), Daddy to Jessica (Jason DeWitt) and Papa to Leighanna and Drew DeWitt. He was a strong and determined man who fought to live every day against all medical odds for many years. Paul could fix anything, do anything and build anything. He was a Civil Engineer by trade and an avid woodworker by hobby. Paul was a lover of animals, tools, information and cars (especially Corvettes). He was born in Lackawanna, NY and served in the US Army as a young man.
Paul also leaves behind his brother and sister-in-law, Bob and Susan Starzynski of Grand Island, NY, niece, Krista (Mike) Mettler of Buffalo, NY, nephew, Bob (Erin) Starzynski Jr. of Pittsburgh, PA, great nephews, Robert and Thomas Starzynski and his beloved dogs, Emma and Pippa.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in his honor to Susie Q Dog ResQ , PO Box 236, Conesus, NY 14435. No prior funeral arrangements scheduled and his Celebration of Life will be private.
I’m so sorry for your loss. Take care!
Even though you knew the end was coming it is difficult to say goodbye to your life partner. My condolences to you and your family. May your memories of him be a comfort to you.
What a whirlwind of 46 years you guys had together! Hoping soon that all those memories of all that Paul knew and loved will eventually be able to bring you smiles and laughter instead of the tears that they bring you today. Keeping you close in my heart. Love you!
Thinking of you❤️
Sending love and condolences to your whole family, Beth. Paul will be greatly missed. 💕

Oh Beth. I’m watching All Creatures Great And Small and there was a bit about a goldfish so I looked you up to check to see if you still have Ralph? Fred? Only to find out you have lost Paul. Took my breath away. I am so very much thinking of you right now and sending love . Rest in deep peace Paul. 💔🙏
Paul built us a huge plywood star that I painted red and put lights on and hung on the front of our house each Christmas. ❤️🙏❤️Thanks again Paul.
