Paul E. Kelly, age 72, of Silver Springs, NY passed away peacefully on Friday, November 8, 2019, with his family at his side. 

Paul was born on June 14, 1947 at Miner’s Hospital in Spangler, PA to Harry J. Kelly and Louise A. (Carl) Kelly of Hastings, PA. He is predeceased by his parents and brother Randy.  Paul is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Clare Fiasco Kelly, whom he married on March 11, 1965, a daughter, Michele (Lew) Kelly-Hare of Portageville, NY and a son Christopher (Tracy) Kelly of Geneseo, NY. He is also survived by 3 brothers: Joe (Susan) Kelly of Hastings, PA, Ray Kelly of Hastings, PA, and Patrick Kelly of Allison Park, PA. Paul will be greatly missed by his 2 granddaughters, Kristin Hare and Natalie Hare, both of Geneva, NY. 

Paul worked for many years at the International Salt Mine, later the Akzo Nobel Salt Mine in Retsof, NY as an electrician and then a maintenance supervisor and retired in 2009 as a maintenance supervisor from the Cargill Salt Mine in Lansing, NY. He enjoyed reading, boating on the Allegany Reservoir with his family, and attending concerts. He was known for his kind and loving nature.

Per Paul’s request, there will be no services. A private interment will be held at a later date at St. Bernard’s Cemetery in Hastings, PA. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorials be made to the American Heart Association (www.heart.org) or the Wounded Warrior Project (www.woundedwarriorproject.org).

    Mary Clare, this is Greg Norris I worked with Paul at Akzo-Nobel from 1991 to 1994 and truly looked up to Paul and enjoy working with him. My heart goes out to you and your family, please accept my belated condolences on your loss. Good bless……. Greg ( Hard Rock ) Norris.
