Rochester, NY: November 14, 2019 at age 70.

Randy is survived by son Robert Mosher, daughter Elizabeth Mosher, and sister Linda Mosher.

Randy graduated from Syracuse Central Technical High School, earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry from Syracuse University and a master’s degree in Material Science from the University of Rochester.

He was proud to be a member of Gates Presbyterian Church where he was ordained as a deacon in 2015 and served from 2015 thru 2017. Prior to that he had been a member at Park Minster Presbyterian Church. He served there as Head Usher, as part of the Christian Education Committee, and as the coordinator of the nursery. During his youth he worked with the United Methodist Church and one year acted as a counselor at the church camp.

Randy was a member of the American Chemical Society. At Xerox he received the HI-CAP award for contributing toward the development of an improved toner.

While working in research and development he did have other interests. He was an enthusiast Celtics fan and a supporter of Rochester Red Wings. While he enjoyed playing chess and bridge, he also enjoyed camping. He was interested in the theories explored by COSMOS. While at Lap Insulator he and a few friends participated in friendly golf competitions. He loved to read, thoroughly enjoyed science fiction, and could expound on various ideas generated from his reading. His interests were not limited to science or science fiction. He made sure to keep informed on was going on in the world and was proud to vote every year of his life. There was a time in his life that he was also a ham radio operator and enjoyed the interactions brought about by that hobby. During high school and college he participated in team bowling. For a number of years he participated as a leader in Boy Scouts and felt honored to act as one of the coaches for his son while his son attained the Eagle Scout ranking.

His family wishes to thank the folks who cared for him at Strong Memorial Hospital and at Monroe Community Hospital. Their friendly manner, dedication, and compassion were greatly appreciated.
