Hilton, NY: Passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones, August 19, 2022 at age 94. Richard is predeceased by his loving wife; Susan and cherished daughter Debra Cross. He is survived by daughters Linda Pask, Sandy (Allen) Kanapesky, Pam Edelman; sons Gary (Ellen), Tom (Karen), 14 Grand-Children, 13 Great-Grand Children, along with his sisters, Joan VanDyne, Shirley Holderle and other loving family and very special friends.
He retired from Rochester Coca-Cola Bottling Company after many years of service and started a successful business, Will-Rich Coffee Services. Richard is a veteran of the US Navy and proudly served in WWII and the Korean War. Throughout his life, he was an active member of the Damascus temple in Webster, NY, serving in various capacities. He volunteered much of his time and talent in support of the Shriners Children’s hospital and other charitable causes undertaken by the Damascus Temple. He was especially active, coordinating and managing, all concessions for the Shrine Circus, for over 20 years.
Richard was blessed with many special and very close friends. The family would like to say thank you to very special neighbors, John and Connie Stanton, Clay and Julie Young, and Tim Fitzpatrick for all the support they have given him and the family over the years. A thank you also to the very special people of the Rochester Regional Health Hospice program for the compassionate care and support provided to the family during a difficult time.
