Richard M. Petti passed away peacefully April 19, 2022 surrounded by family in his home in Henrietta, NY at the age of 70. Predeceased by his mother, Audrey Petti and sister Cynthia Powers. He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 44 years, Darlene Petti and his four children, Jeffrey Petti (Erika), Tina Servis, Michael Petti (Bambi) and Shawn Petti (Kara), his nine grandchildren Tyler, Trent, Cole, Mckenna, Jacob, Kyle, Kaitlyn, Mikayla and Rylee. Richard is also survived by his siblings Kathy Jackson (Louie Curry) and Keith Petti (Jane) and Brother-In-Law Ed Powers, as well a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Richard loved cooking, traveling, community service with Nunda Kiwanis, the Buffalo Bills, woodworking and could often be found in his shop making furniture for family and friends. His family was the light of his life and he enjoyed spending time with them whenever he could. Richard retired from corrections after 25 years of service and took up financial consulting and other entrepreneurial opportunities throughout his life.
There will be a celebration of life on Tuesday, April 26th, 2022 at 6PM at Victory Church 32 Wildbriar Rd, Rochester, NY 14623. Thank you Pastor Alex True and the Victory staff for their support and services.
In lieu of flowers, we are planning a memorial bench at Letchworth State Park in Richard’s name, as this was one of his favorite places. Donations can be sent to Richard’s son, Shawn directly or through GoFundMe at: https://gofund.me/c0a80ce4
