Suddenly on October 4th, 2022 our brother passed away. Richard is predeceased by his parents William and Cora Velten. He is survived by his brother Roger Velten (Becky), and his sisters’ Sally Neu (Gordon), Susan Taylor, and Deborah Williams.
Life seems to hand each of us certain struggles to overcome through the years. How we handle these hardships leaves an impact on those around us. Richard chose the quiet approach with inner strength, perseverance, and a sense of humor. Growing up he enjoyed bowling and having a few beers with family and friends.
You have left this earth and your spirit has been set free. Soar high, my brother, like a majestic eagle and find the peace you so greatly deserve. Memories of the good times will forever remain in our hearts.

It’s hard to believe you are no longer here. Words cannot express the sadness that I feel. I will miss you so very much. You were such a kind and generous person. I am proud to call you my brother.
