I spent early 20 years with Richard as his partner and best friend. Like everyone else, we had our ups and downs. A large piece of me has left with him. I will miss our times together and may you soar high my friend, and always know you were truly loved.

Richard had an ever welcoming warmth about him that always started with his vibrant smile. Our interactions were few but when our paths did cross it was as if we had just seen him yesterday. Our heartfelt sympathy to David, Vincent , Russell and the other family members. He will be greatly missed .

There was something great about Richard I’d hesitate to put into words-a clear eyed friendly intelligence. Sorry that he went too soon, that I hadn’t seen him in so long, for his family and Russell.

I worked with Richard at Xerox. The work that he did for me was creative and outstanding. He was a great person and a work friend. My sympathy goes out to his family and to Russell, who I have never met.

Richard & I shared a wall down in the Xerox Bldg 218 cube farm. So enjoyed his razor-sharp wit, dry, dry sense of humor and creative spirit. Good memories.

l am so sad to learn of Richard’s passing. I worked with Richard at Xerox and he was always so helpful for any work advice. We also had fun at our job and made time to laugh about our lives. My husband and I met Russell when he was working at a restaurant in the High Falls area and we enjoyed his company, as well. Russell, my heart goes out to you and, unfortunately I am unable to be at the memorial on Friday, but my prayers go out to you and your family. Wishing you fond memories.

I am hoping this is the correct site to pay respects to Rick Young who attended Jefferson HS and lived on Burrows St. I found out he had passed away from our mutual high school friend John C who also lived on the same street. I am so very sorry to hear of Ricks passing. He was such an intelligent sensitive person and had a great sense of humor. I will always keep the memory of our time together in my heart and will never forget him. He was truly a wonderful human being. Janet Hartman…
