To Bob’s family, my sincerest condolences……I’m in shock, as I’ve known Bob for well over 30 years, and had no idea he had any health issues, or had even passed away. I last saw him in mid-March of this year, and didn’t know anything was amiss.

I’ve tried calling his shop a several times, in the last couple of weeks, wanting to schedule some work on my car, and was very surprised that the phone went unanswered. I thought that maybe Bob had decided to take some time for a well-deserved vacation. I drove by the shop yesterday, 7-12-16, and was again surprised, as I found it locked up, with the lot empty. For some reason, I did a Google search, and found this obituary.

As I said, I am truly in shock, as well as saddened, to hear that a long-time friend is no longer around. I just wish I had the opportunity to say goodbye to him.

Again, to his family, my sincerest condolences……He will be sorely missed.

    Dear Niki and Angelica,

Thank you for the very kind note, it was greatly appreciated.
I knew Bob for over 30 years and I can say, without reservation that he was one of the finest men I have ever known. He was more than a friend to me and everyone I brought in to him for help or an opinion.
He jokingly said he paid for his daughter’s education with my repair bills.
He was so proud of you Angelica, even through the darkened windows phase. I always asked about you and he always smiled when he spoke of you.
Niki, he always had good in his heart for you, no matter what,
    We talked a lot.
Thank you for taking care of my friend, you both will always be in my prayers for your caring and help.
Should either of you ever need anything you have my number.
    Thanks again, stay well,

    Ed

Anjelica and family…you don’t know me, but I feel as if I know you through Bob’s stories about his family. We always compared “daughter notes” whenever I was at the shop, as my daughter is the same age as Anjelica, or very close. Know that he loved you and was always proud to be your dad. I had no idea he had passed and the world has lost a true gentleman.
