Robert H. Gears, Jr.

Robert H Gears Jr - Greece, NY - Rochester Cremation

Greece: Robert H Gears Jr passed away unexpectedly on 2/13/2021. He was predeceased by his parents Robert H Gears Sr and Patricia (Chiasson) Gears.

Survived by his daughter Jacqueline (Gabriel) Kiever, his sons Robert (Lynsy) Valerio and Jeremy Gears, his 2 fur babies Ben and Max Gears. His Grandchildren Anna and Elisa Kiever, Korey, Michael, Robert, Carmen, Gianna, Vincent, Domenic, John, Faustina, Veronica and Graciela Valerio. His siblings Valerie (Todd) Hockenberger and Dr. Deborah (Carla) Gears.  Many loving nieces and nephews along with many friends.

Robert was an amazing Father, Grandfather, Brother, Uncle and friend.  Robert was always the life of the party and had a one in a million personality. Robert was hilarious and would split your sides with his jokes.  For a big biker guy covered in tattoos he was a softy.  He loved Harley Davidson and loved having a good time.  He loved helping people and taking care of those he loved. He was an amazing cook and cooked with pride. In the summer you would find him on his custom Harley cruising to his favorite restaurants or attending a concert. Robert loved to sing and loved music. He was a very hard worker at Kodak & PGM where he took pride in his work. He was an amazing hunter and fisherman; Big Ed was his biggest buck who was tattooed on his arm.  He loved tattoos and would always get one as a souvenir every place he went, as he loved to travel. When he wasn’t doing those things, he was hanging out with family or playing with his Anna banana.

We will be having a private family service Interment at Falls Cemetery. There will be a service this spring or summer to celebrate Robert’s life. In lieu of flowers a donation can be made to Humane Society of Greater Rochester or the American Heart Association in his memory.

Dad you were my best friend and there aren’t enough words I could write in this obituary to truly describe how much you meant to me. From tucking me in to bed as a kid to waiting all day at the hospital for me to have your first Grandbaby. I can’t thank you enough for everything. My heart has a huge hole that will never be filled. I will keep your memory living on. I love you so much Dad.

Bob, you were the greatest guy to work with. I’m so lucky to have met you. You didn’t have to try hard to put a smile on everyone’s face. I will miss you blasting your music, making up your own lyrics and being called your sunshine every day. you were a light in everyone’s life who have been lucky enough to meet you. Much love, forever in my heart, always on my mind. Love, Bridget, your sunshine❤️

My sympathies to your families. I went to school with Pat Chiasson and after she married Bob, we used to play cards. Our kids played together once in a while when they were very little. Robert looks just like his Dad. So nice to see all the great things he accomplished. Pat would be and I’m sure Bob was very proud of him.

To hear about Bob is very saddening. I worked with Bob at Kodak for a long time and he made the nite tricks bearable. Lots of stories and great times will always be remembered! Enjoy the fishing and hunting whever you are and ride like the wind brother! What a great guy!

Bob was my ex-brother-in-law, but never my ex friend.
Spent many hours and days and weeks with Bob, from RaChaCha to Key West.
We shared a remarkable day barracuda fishing, and he even snagged a shark that day.
His food was great, his smile infectious.
And to see that inked up dude go all mushy with the dogs? A sight to behold.
    You will be missed Bob.
Peace to you and yours. 🕊
