Robert Arndt - Greece, NY - Rochester Cremation

Greece, NY:  April 23, 2019.  Robert John Arndt passed after a very long illness of 16 years with neurosarcoid at Rochester General Hospital surrounded by family and friends.

Robert was born on October 21, 1969.  He was 49 years old.  Robert grew up in Greece and was very active in boy scouts.  He delivered the Times Union and worked at Wendy’s.  Robert graduated from Greece Athena High School in 1987 and attended Canton ATC where we went for Mortuary Science and Business Administration.  After college, he worked at the family business as a funeral director for 25 years.  He often said he enjoyed the work he did until he was no longer able to perform because of his illness.

He is survived by his mother, Bess Seils of Harrisville, NY; his very dear friend, Heidi Maus of Webster (Maxwell Delorm and Brittney Beedham); his Godmother, Barbara Colicchio of Irondequoit; his father, Ronald Arndt of Greece; sister, Shari Arndt of Greece; brother, Jasen Arndt of Spencerport; nieces and nephew, Emma Arndt of Spencerport, Lyndsie and Charlie Barone IV of Greece; his brother-in-law, Chuck Barone III of Chili; several aunts, uncles and cousins.

His Funeral Mass will be Celebrated at St. Jude- The Parish of the Holy Family, 4100 Lyell Road, Rochester, NY 14606 on April 27, 2019 at 12pm.  

A Celebration of Life will be held at MacGregor’s Grill, 1129 Empire Boulevard, Rochester, NY 14609 on May 4, 2019 from 1-5pm.

    My condolences to Rob’s family. I attended SUNY Canton with Rob and he always was a great guy and a gentle soul. I believe there where only maybe 9 or 10 of us in the Mortuary Science program at Canton that graduated in 1989. Fond memories of him hanging out at the AOR house.
