Robert Pappert, born May 27, 1950, passed away peacefully on September 28, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, family, and cherished memories. He is predeceased by his parents Robert Charles and Florence Loretta Pappert, father and mother-in-law Raymond Harold and Julia Marion Placious, nephew Raymond Placious and brother-in-law Butch Placious. He is survived by his devoted wife, Julieann Pappert, who stood by his side throughout their life together, creating a beautiful family that he adored. Robert is also survived by his children: son Robert (Hannah) Pappert, daughters Jacqueline (Robert) Witherow, and Amanda Pappert. His granddaughters, Nora Ann Pappert, and Aurora Monroe Pappert, were his pride and joy, filling his heart with boundless love.
Robert’s family was the center of his world, and he also leaves behind his brother Jerry (Sherry) Pappert, brothers-in-law Joseph (Natalie) Placious and Stephen (Corinne) Placious, and sister-in-law Susan Placious. He was a beloved uncle to Laura Pappert, Jennifer (Joel,) Raines, Nichole (Don) Smith, Joe (Jacqui) Rizzo, Nick (Stephanie) Rizzo, Alexandra (Derek) Schwegler, Stephen (Marisa) Placious, and Andrew (Paige) Placious. He adored being honorary grandfather to his great nephews DJ Smith, Coby (Macy) Smith, and Taylor (Summer) Smith. His fishing and lunch companion, great niece Brittany Pappert, and her sons his great great nephews, Brayden, and Brody Pappert, brought joy and laughter into his life. His great-nieces and nephews, Jocelyn Pappert, Liliana Rizzo, Jace Pappert, Xavier Rizzo, Vincent Rizzo, Hans Schwegler and Santino Placious also held a special place in his heart. He is also lovingly remembered by many cousins and other relatives who will forever embrace his memory close.
Robert spent most of his career working at GM-Delphi as a tool and die maker, and after his retirement, he enjoyed a semi-peaceful life, often taking on ambitious projects conjured up by his children. He found great joy in traveling, visiting Alaska, Hawaii, and exploring up and down the East Coast. Above all, Robert loved his family deeply and cherished every moment he spent with them, no matter the circumstances.
A man of faith, Robert attended Holy Cross Church and enjoyed the peace and friendship of many there. Whether attending Saturday or Sunday services, his presence was always felt. Known for his love of hot dogs, golf, animals, and fishing, Robert’s warm spirit and generous heart will be remembered by all who knew him.
We warmly invite friends and family in the area to honor our father’s memory by attending a memorial mass on Thursday, October 3rd at 12pm at Holy Cross Church. Following the service, family will visit the graveside, while all are welcome to continue the celebration at Locust Hill Country Club from 3pm to 6pm.
We ask that, in his honor, donations be made to an animal charity of your choice or the American Diabetes Association, and to celebrate Robert’s life by embracing the joys of family, faith, and the simple pleasures that he held dear.

To Bob’s family we are so sorry for your loss. My wife and I both worked with Bob for many years at GM and he was a kind and fun person to be around. He was a good man and will be missed. RIP Bob.
I just found out… I’m very sorry to hear of Bobby’s passing. What an absolute great and funny guy. I have fond memories of him and Jerry visiting my family when I was young. He will be truly missed. Julie my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.
