I have been a member of Visual Developers of Upstate New York since 2000. For most of that time, Bob Nims was at the helm, organizing VDUNY.
VDUNY was the premiere Rochester Microsoft community for Microsoft developers to learn and grow in their professional careers. Developers could find out what the latest technology trends were, and network with others in the field. Bob’s work in organizing this community was a benefit to me personally and I believe to many in the Rochester area.
I did not know Bob was ill. The thought that I should check the local hospitals just crossed my mind this weekend.
Bob will be missed.
Bob was our VDUNY, a non-profit group or organization that many of us have benefitted from his contributions.
Bob will be missed by many for sure, like we miss him at VDUNY.

Bob will be missed. He was a wonderful contributor to the local technical scene. He created and ran for many years a group that helped and connected many people. I ask for God’s blessings on those that survive him.
