Ronald Lenahan

Ronald Lenahan - Rochester Cremation

Rochester, NY: Ronald Lenahan went home to be with the Lord, April 26, 2023. Born 1944 in Buffalo, NY he grew up as an only child who loved to play cowboys with his friend Billy, practicing his trumpet, and running a local ice cream stand at 14 years old.  Ron also had a sense of adventure which led him to join the Army, complete an associate degree in electrical technology, a certificate in ministry from Liberty University, and seek travels across the continental United States, Alaska, Hawaii, Caribbean, Italy, and Israel. Ron met Carol on a blind date, and they married in 1966. Together during their 52 years of marriage they had three children David, Alicia, and Joshua. Ron accepted Jesus Christ as his savior and began his service to the Lord in 1978. Active within the church, Ron led vacation bible school, numerous bible studies, and even a few karate demonstrations. He loved people and to preach. His journey of ministry began at Victory Baptist Church, then progressed to Open Door Baptist before he started his own church Faith to Faith Fellowship. Ron gave his all for the church and its members, ministering to everyone he could reach. He enjoyed learning how to say “God is Good” in every language he came across. His ministry extended beyond the walls of the church, as he led weekly bible studies within jails and hospitals. Ron officiated his own children’s weddings and hundreds more within the church. Even upon retirement, Ron never stopped ministering as he led a bible study at Chapel Oaks.

Ron is preceded in death by his wife Carol and survived by Carol’s mother Lynn, children David (Laura), Alicia, Joshua (Janet) and five grandchildren Julia, Jacob, Emma, Cassidy, and Jenna.

Ron was a great man to many, and we were lucky enough to call him dad.

Please join our family in a celebration of life and fellowship at Living Water Christian Fellowship on Saturday, May 20th at 9 am. The church is located at 1440 E. Ridge Rd Rochester, NY 14621. In lieu of flowers kindly donate to Charles Finney School Playground Fund 2070 Five Mile Line Road Penfield, NY 14526.

Im so sorry to hear of the passing of your father Ron. I attended Victory with him as a young person and I remember how much he talked about his family and how proud he was of you all. May you find peace in all your memories you’ve created with him.
