Rochester, NY: Home Going Celebration for Ruthie Mae “Sister” Edwards.
Ruthie Mae was born on November 28, 1950 and she passed away on May 31, 2020.
Ruthie Mae was born in Sumter SC to Ruth Galloway and Bubba Jenkins. She arrived in Rochester at a very young age. She was such a beautiful person who loved and cared for family dearly. Ruthie passed away on May 31,2020 at Rochester General Hospital.
Ruthie Mae leaves to mourn her children: Jacquelyne Simmons; (son in law Landy Thorpe), Johnny Mae Gaines, Lawanda Edwards, Cassandra Edwards and George Edwards. Her sister Barbara Hay, two aunts Eva Mae Perdue, Eura Lee Daymon, one uncle Moses ” Bubba” Edwards, her favorite cousin Mary McFayden, grandson Black “Edwin” Jewelz and host of cousins, grandkids nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
There are so many reasons for the life I lived on earth, but there are better reasons I now have gone home to my mission in the spirit of God… Please don’t cry or mourn cause I’m Happy so you please be HAPPY!!!
