It is with much sadness and love that the family of Ryan James Hugh Blair, of Greece, NY announce that Ryan passed suddenly, age 39 on March 16th, 2023. He is survived by his parents Jane (Neil), Gary (Marlyn); his siblings, Katie (Jake), Jonathan (Brittany); step daughter Lea; his nana Jean; partner Kristy and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Ryan was born in Cheltenham, England on June 16th, 1983. He moved with his family in April 1999 to Greece, NY. He attended Arcadia High school and graduated in 2001.
He worked most of his life in the construction industry. He was an avid Liverpool Football club and England supporter, never missing a match.
In 2012 he made the ultimate gesture of love and donated his kidney to his step-father Neil, for which we will be forever grateful.
He will be greatly missed by all who love him and he will be forever in our hearts.
Friends and Family may visit at Rochester Cremation, 1118 Long Pond Road (south of Maiden Lane), Greece, 14626 on Friday, March 24th from 10am-11am. Memorial Service to follow at 11am in funeral home chapel.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Strong Memorial Kidney transport unit or The Verona Animal shelter, Rochester.
Jane, Neil and family , I am so sorry about Ryan. We just lost our nephew suddenly same age. It’s heartbreaking and nothing I can say will take the pain away but just know he was a great person Alot of fun and we have very fond memories of him. My heart breaks for all of you.
