Sandra (Sandy) Lee Data Ostrowski, 77, passed away on Sunday June 26, 2022, following a hard-fought battle with cancer and dementia. Described as “a trailblazer,” “a loyal friend” and “someone I’d want in my foxhole,” Sandy was admired by all who knew her for her kindness, creativity, ambition, and pierogis.
She was a graduate of McKeesport Hospital School of Nursing; was the founder and CEO of Asked Rehabilitation; and member of the Greece (NY) Town Chamber of Commerce, the Woodside Garden Club, and Trinity Episcopal Church. She was an avid gardener, a pickleball and Toastmasters champion, a painter, and driver of a safari truck at Disney’s Animal Kingdom.
Sandy is survived by Edward, her husband of 56 years; children Kim, David and Adam; five grandchildren; and sister (Patty Houk); and many friends and family in Rochester, NY, New Castle, PA, and Leesburg, FL.
A celebration of her life will be held later this year. Donations may be made in her honor to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Kim and family,
I am so sorry for your loss. Praying for your family. I hope that your memories are some comfort during this difficult time.
God Bless
