ROCHESTER, NY – January 25, 2022 at the age of 51.
Shelby was born and raised in the Bronx, NY. She was full of life and brought so much joy to everyone she encountered. Shelby was known for her natural spark, being the life of any party, her smile, vibrant energy and bringing family and friends together to create memories. The camera always found Shelby! She loved music, fashion, dancing, cooking, food, vacationing, and simply spending time with loved ones.
Shelby is predeceased by her mother Beryl, father Rudolph, and daughter Erica. She is survived by her lifelong partner Willem, daughter Nika, siblings Rudy (Melanie), Melanie, and Tammy; aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and friends.
Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, February 19, 5:00 p.m. at Corpus Christi Church located at 864 East Main Street, Rochester, NY 14605 and a Celebration of Life on Saturday, February 26, 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. at R G Ortiz Funeral Home located at 2580 Grand Concourse, Bronx, NY 10458.
You only had to meet Shelby once, to never forget her. She brought joy and laughter wherever she went. I am so very sorry for your family’s great loss.
