Rochester NY: July 14, 2016 at age 70 died peacefully on July 14th, 2016 at home in Rochester, New York. Born December 8th, 1945 in Rochester, she was the daughter of Bruce Edwin Smallridge and Dorothy Bradley Smallridge. Sherry was a graduate of Irondequoit High School and Michigan State University. She returned to Rochester in 1971 and managed several family businesses established by her parents. In 1972, she was married to the love of her life Gary D. Haines. They raised two children, Timothy and David.
Sherry enjoyed her time in the garden as well as hosting and entertaining family and friends in their home. She also loved carousels, having enjoyed many during their travels throughout The United States. Zoos and Aquariums were favorite attractions and she had a special place in her heart for giraffes. The family frequented the performing arts, regularly attending performances of the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra, GEVA Theatre Center, The Rochester Broadway Theatre League, and Pittsford Musicals.
She is survived by husband Gary; sons, Timothy (Emily) Haines and David Haines; grandson Jonathan; sister Barbara (John) Conrad; brother Brad (Vicki Kleban) Smallridge; brother-in-law Glenn (Cathy) Haines; four nephews; two nieces; and a number of other relatives and close friends.
Friends and family are welcomed to attend a Memorial Gathering from 1-3 pm on Friday, July 29 at White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Road, Pittsford.

I am so sorry to hear about the passing of Sherry. I was one of her mother’s caregivers. Very beautiful family.
