Vestal: Tammy Sue Ferguson, aged 48, beloved daughter of Elaine Lester Roughton, of Newfield, NY, and John Lester of Horseheads, NY, and sisters Stacy Lester Woods, of Horseheads, and Tara Lester, of Buffalo, died Friday, November 28, in Rochester, NY. Tammy is also survived by her daughter, Brittany Ferguson and Brittany’s father, Michael Ferguson, both of Binghamton, NY, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition, Tammy leaves behind long-time friend Jeff Freeman, or Elmira, and David Shaner, of Bath, who cared for Tammy over her last six months.
Tammy graduated from Horseheads High School in 1984 then joined her husband in Portland, Oregon, where he studied optometry while she worked for a lens manufacturer. Her experience there played a vital role in helping to eventually set up a successful eye care business with her husband in Panama City, Beach, Fl.
