Ted J. Lechner

Ted J. Lechner - Rochester Cremation

Ted J. Lechner, age 53, of Henrietta, N.Y., passed away on April 30, 2023, after a long and hard-fought battle with cancer.

Ted grew up in Greece, N.Y., and attended college at Genesee Community College and the University of South Florida. He recently retired from the Monroe County Water Authority after over 27 dedicated years of service.

Above all, Ted loved his family. He is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of 25 years, Glenna; son, Graeme; and daughter, Emelia; his parents Elizabeth and Joseph Lechner; his brother Paul (Julie); many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins, and innumerable friends.

Ted had a knack for making friends and collected many along the path of his life. His playful spirit and sense of humor made him the life of the party. Wherever Ted went, laughter was sure to be heard.

Ted was an avid golfer, gardener, and sporting clays enthusiast as a long-standing member of the Rochester Brooks Gun Club.

Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, May 8, 2023, at the Henrietta United Church of Christ, 1400 Lehigh Station Rd., Henrietta, N.Y. 14467, with a lunch reception to follow.

Ted was an ardent lover of dogs, both his own and most any he met. In lieu of flowers, the Lechner family asks that you please consider donating to your favorite animal charity in Ted’s name.
