Thomas Anthony Benedict
Age 87
5/29/1937-9/9/2024
In life Tom was a stubborn force to be reckoned with. He was an entrepreneur, an Army Reserve Officer, a Livingston County Sheriff, and much more. Most of all he was a devoted, protective and very loving husband to his wife, Jane.
They traveled the world together and lived for many years in beautiful Hawaii, before illness brought them back to their hometown.
Tom leaves behind his wife, Jane. Son, Thomas A. Benedetto and his wife Kristen and their son, Blake. Daughter Kimberly ,Brother Robert M. Benedict and his wife Jane from Utica NY, sister-in-law Patty Bonsignore, nieces and nephews, and many, many friends.
Among those friends is a special couple, that we would like to give special thanks to. Sue and Jerry Kowalchuk took the time to visit Tom every single week for the years Tom was in the nursing home. They brought food, clothes, gifts and played cards with him. They celebrated every holiday and occasion. They were so patient with Tom when he would doze off during their games. They enriched Tom1s last moments and we will be forever grateful.
Rest in peace, Thomas, you deserve it.
A service has not been scheduled at this time.
Our sincerest condolences to Tom’s Wife Jane and Sister Pattie. We enjoyed the time that we were able ro spend with tom and Jane during our visits. Dispite Tom’s hardshipps, he would always have a few jokes to tell.
also I would like to say that the love showed by Tom for his Wife Jane was unmatched by any that I have seen before.
Tom We all hope that you are resting in peace. And may God bless you.
Sue and Jarry Kowalchuk
