Thomas Jared Bacchetta

Thomas Jared Bacchetta - Rochester Cremation

GATES, NY – Unexpectedly, on June 2, 2023. Thomas is predeceased by his mother, Catherine M. Bacchetta. He is survived by his beloved, Lora Mosher; son Cameron; and daughter Catherine; siblings Cherlyn (John) Laley, Daniel Bacchetta, and Michelle Bacchetta; best friend and brother Louis (Heather) Bacchetta; 11 nieces and nephews; 8 great-nieces and nephews; and other loving family and friends.

Thomas enjoyed creating beautiful art. His passions inspired those around him – from art to exercise to music – his love for these things was apparent and infectious. He took tremendous pride in his work and was always pursuing new challenges in his field.

Thomas excelled in carpentry as he was constantly remodeling his home to suit his growing family. He was a computer “genius” and was always on call, willing to help his large family with technical issues. As the youngest of his mother’s children, he made sure to keep the memory of her alive. Thomas’ love for his daughter was unmatched. Such a love will live on in his little girl, who shares his goofy laugh and smile.

Inurnment will be held privately. A memorial/celebration of life gathering will be held on Tuesday, June 20th, from 3 – 8 PM at the Rotary Lodge in Greece Canal Park, 241 Elmgrove Road, Rochester, NY 14626.

I just saw your post about losing your husband.., I am so sorry for your loss. It is a very rough road to follow when you have lost someone you love very much. I lost my beloved mom on May31, 1985. We were very close and I still mourn her loss. I haven’t had closure yet. She was home when she heard the winds getting strong. She went to the back of the house to close windows, bit saw the tornado coming right at her.. She was running back to the dining room yelling to visitors to take cover. But she didn’t make it. The tornado hit the house I grew up in. A reverend happened to be coming down the road when when it passed right in front of him.. He proceeded down the road and saw the damage to 6 houses totally flattened. He found my mother and rushed her to the hospital, but she was DOA. I was at work when it happened. We were just closing the store up when my husband showed up and updated me about the tornado hitting the neighborhood we grew up in. 39 years ago she was taken away. I still mourn her and I cry often. She was my best friend and confidant
