Timothy Fitzpatrick

Timothy Fitzpatrick - Rochester Cremation

It is with deep sadness that the family of Timothy Fitzpatrick, affectionately known as Pops, announces his passing on Thursday, December 14th, 2023. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Timothy and his wife Patricia (Pat) were Fairport residents for forty-six years. He is survived by his beloved wife and their four children: John (Julie Westerman), Thomas (Tammy Irvin), Richard (Peggy Geil), and daughter Colleen Fitzpatrick Dandrea, as well as thirteen beautiful grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, his brother Peter (Janice Socha) and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Their four children attended and graduated from Fairport High School.  His children were the pride of his life, and he leaves them with fond memories of family get-togethers, camping, and beach vacations.

Tim grew up in a house his dad built in Baldwinsville, NY, with his parents, John and Helene (Moll), and four siblings (Michael, Kathy, Peter, and Louise). He graduated from Baker High School in 1960. Always a fun-loving Irishman, Tim enjoyed playing sports and had many good times with friends.

Realizing early in his career that he wanted to be his own boss, Tim purchased a small neighborhood bar, Patims, which he ran for many years. In the early 1990s, ready for a change, he opened a dry cleaning plant in Mendon, NY. His youngest son, Richard, joined him and eventually ran the business. In 2004 they decided to sell it so Rich could pursue other opportunities and Tim could retire. In retirement, he and Pat enjoyed great times golfing, traveling, and camping.

Donations in Tim’s honor can be made to UR Medicine Hospice, 2180 Empire Blvd, Webster, NY 14580.  Their compassionate care was a source of comfort during the final stage of his journey.

As per Timothy’s wishes, there will be no services. For those who knew him, please honor his memory by raising your glass in a farewell toast.

Please accept my deepest condolences for your loss. Being a friend of Rich’s back in high school the better part of 40 years ago, brings back fond memories of Mr. Fitzpatrick. He was always welcoming and kind. Fast forward to a couple of years ago, it was a pleasant surprise having Mr. and Mrs. Fitzpatrick move into the community of which I am the Facility Manager. Reconnecting with them and listening their stories about the old Patims days that I never knew was a pleasure. Mr. Fitzpatrick was still the kind, friendly man that I remembered. It has been an honor to serve them and getting to know them both better is something I am thankful for.
    Sincerely,
    Donovan Frazee

To the Fitzpatrick family, please accept my deepest condolences for your loss.
Being friends with Rich back in high school nearly 40 years ago, I have fond memories of Mr. and Mrs. Fitzpatrick. Mr. Fitzpatrick was always welcoming, kind and humorous. Fast forward to a couple of years ago, I was pleasantly surprised to find out that that Fitzpatrick’s were moving into the community of which I am the Facility Manager. Since then, we have had many enjoyable conversations including stories of the Patims days that I had never heard before. Mr. Fitzpatrick was still the kind, gentle soul that I remembered from long ago. It has been an honor and pleasure to serve them while getting reacquainted. Godspeed Mr. Fitzpatrick.
    Sincerely,
    Donovan Frazee
