Rochester/Buffalo: Tim (TJ) at the age of 83 passed away August 20, 2022 at his home in Rochester after a brief illness. Predeceased by his parents John and Alice (Potter) McNamara and his first wife Marge. Survived by his loving wife Charlotte, daughter Heather (Brad) Cooke, sister Annette (Bill) Webb, step children Brian and Eric (Sherri) Sage, Jason Harris; 4 step grandchildren, nieces and nephew and his best friend Alan Eakes.
Tim grew up in South Buffalo where he attended Public School #72 and South Park High School (1957). He made life-long friends from these schools and was the primary organizer of an annual gathering of old buddies involving 11 pals. He worked with the Bank of Buffalo which became Key Bank until retirement as a vice-president. Tim was an avid golfer and still played 18 holes this summer. He loved the Sabers and the Buffalo Bills. He loved to find and try new restaurants, was an avid shopper of foods and collectibles and enjoyed spending time relaxing at camp. Tim was a devoted husband and friend. He will be sadly missed by many.
A memorial to celebrate Tim’s life will be held at 2 pm on September 10 at Jubilee Christian Church, 3565 Lake Rd. N, Brockport, NY 14420. Friends and family are welcome. Donations can be made in Tim’s name to the charity of your choice.
