Vash passed away on 10/17/21 at age 83 after a short illness. He is survived and missed by his loving wife Brigita and daughter Anna (Kevin Heiser). Vash also has family in Yellow Springs, OH, India, Sweden, as well as cousins in Toronto, Canada. Many friends and colleagues from school and workplaces throughout the United States.
Vash traveled often for work domestically and abroad. After retiring he stayed in Rochester, NY. He volunteered as an alumni at RIT and the Jewish Home. He enjoyed meeting people and was a warm and friendly person. Vash spent many good times at the Henrietta Senior Center, taking part in many of the activities and made several friends. He will be remembered with fondness and be missed greatly.
Celebration of his life will be in the summer of 2022, when hopefully; traveling and meeting is possible again. Thanks to everyone for your support and caring. In lieu of flowers, donations in Vash’s name can be made to the Henrietta Senior Center.
Vash was a great and loyal friend to me for 58 years (we met in 1963 at R.I.T. where we both graduated with Engineering degrees.
We worked together at General Dynamics on Goodman Street.
He came to work with me at Digital Equipment Corporation in Massachusetts in 1988 and we continued to keep in touch after we both retired.
I will dearly miss him.
