Vicki is survived by her loving husband, Larry Shepard; daughter, LaRee Meade (Jared); son, Shane Shepard (Kristi); grandchildren, Tyler Arthmann-Shepard and Gabrielle Meade; mother, Audrey Bates; siblings, Vandi Fricke (Alan), Victor “Fred” Bates (Marlene), Valeri Silpoch (Will), Vaughn Bates (Edna), Marilee Taylor (Bob), Staci Bathurst (Eric).

Our family has chosen not to hold any services but will instead celebrate her life.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Shepherd Home (shepherdhome.org) in Penfield, NY are being requested. We are incredibly grateful for their love, care and compassion during Vicki’s final weeks. The staff and volunteers became like family to us and we can never fully repay them for the support and kindness they showed to us all.

Thank you as well to all of our family and friends that have supported us along the way when we needed it most.

My dearest Larry, LaRee and Shane,
I have no words to describe how shocked and sad I am to learn of Vikkis passing. I loved and missed her over the years and so enjoyed our Christmas card letters each year. My heart is broken. But know she was most likely met by Butch in Heaven and he will take good care of her. All my love.
