Met Billy after High School and we spent years hanging out and going to concerts and Bills games. We lost touch but his return to the post office was a return to our great friendship. He treated me to a Bills game every year, then a few years ago he got me to be a substitute in his golf league. I ended up beating colon cancer 2 years ago and no one would bust my chops like Billy when I lost distance on my drives. That’s exactly how I wanted him to be. Then he got cancer and we shared something else, figured this fighter could lick it too. He never complained but you could see the toll it was taking. We were encouraged when he returned to work for several months until he took a turn for the worse. Everyone will miss Billy dearly. I’m taking his full time slot in the golf league and Scott Easton and I are naming our team “Birdies for Billy” in honor of our great friend. ❤️❤️

We were so shocked and very saddened to read that Billy has passed. Billy was our Mailman for many, many years and we always enjoyed chatting with him daily. He was an excellent Mailman—always hard-working, prompt, polite, efficient and had a wonderful and engaging personality. He often spoke about his children and how proud of them he was. We send our deepest condolences to his family.

To the family and friends of Bill, we lost a great light! “He’s got it made” in heaven today. On behalf of Bill, the letter carriers of the GMF donated $225 to Rochester Regional Hospice Care, and $225 to the American Cancer Society. We were all grateful to attend his beautiful service today, and give our love and condolences to his family.

It’s so bitter sweet I only wish I knew all of you better I know my brother loved all of you so much. Thank you again for being there for him and his family.

My heart is broken, brother. You are the bravest man I’ve ever known and the best big brother any sister could have. It’s still unreal to me that you’re not here. I love you Billy.
