William Joseph Malloy of Penfield, NY passed away peacefully on September 17, 2023 surrounded by his loving daughters, Erin and Heather. Bill was born May 24, 1935 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania to William and Elizabeth Malloy. He is predeceased by his wife and love of his life, June; as well as his siblings Elizabeth, Raymond and Gerald.
He is survived by his devoted daughters Erin (Scott) Schauman and Heather (Dan) Degen. Proud grandfather of Megan, Brynn, Chloe, Ava, and Kendall; he also leaves behind countless loving family members and lifelong friends. Bill will fondly be remembered as a gifted writer, story teller, prankster, Bill’s fan, US Air Force veteran and as his most cherished role, “Poppy.”
Bill’s family extends their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff of the Hurlbut who became Bill’s second family. A private service at Whitehaven Memorial Park will be held at a later date. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
