William McMahon - Penfield, NY - Rochester Cremation

Penfield, NY: Formally of Allegany, NY. Passed unexpectedly at the age of 72. Predeceased by his parents Joseph and Barabara. Bill is survived by his loving and supportive husband of 36 years, Donald Young. A brother, sister, nephew, 3 nieces and several great nieces and nephews. As well as extended family, many friends and very special friends John and Linda Engiebrecht and Tom and Rita.

Bill was an avid outdoorsman in his younger years. He was an accomplished slalom skier as well as a member of the ski patrol at Holiday Valley in Ellicottville, NY. Climbed 13 of 46 mountain peaks in the Adirondacks. Later in life he became very handy in-home remodeling, tiling and woodworking.

Bill graduated from Bishop Welsh HS in Alleghany, later attended Alfred State College and St John Fisher.

His career started at Sara Coventry in Newark, NY. Moved on to Bausch & Lomb where he loved to tell the story of how he worked at the same desk for 5 different companies. Retired from Spectronic Instruments.

He was a Proud veteran of the US Navy where he served in Germany, Maine and Florida. He was a member of the Braman American Legion Post #1229 in Penfield, NY.

A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, July 13, 2021 at 10:30 AM, All Seasons Chapel, White Haven Memorial Park, 210 Marsh Rd, Pittsford NY. Interment at Oakwood CemeteryIn Bill’s memory donations may be made to Lollypop Farm.

    We refuse to allow our sadness and sense of loss to overshadow the laughter and good times spent together. While we will always miss you Bill, you are forever in our hearts.
