William Snyder “Bill”

William Snyder - Rochester Cremation
Rush/Honeoye:  William Snyder passed away June 9, 2024 at age 84. He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Julie, daughter Brenda (John) Schouten, son Andy (Kim) Snyder, 8 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.

Bill ran his Collision shop in Rush NY for many years. It was there that he got to know many of the town’s people and customers from out of the town as well. In turn, people got to know Bill for his generosity and helping hand. He was a founding member of the Rush Lions Club and a member of the Masonic Lodge in Avon.

His favorite pastime was fishing. If it were at all possible, he would have fished 24/7. He retired in the town of Honeoye, NY overlooking the hills and valleys that he loved so much.

Bill was predeceased by his parents and a brother, and his son William Jr.
There will be no calling hours.

Bill was a good business n ess man honest and a great friend to have. My first business started in 1977 was selling body shop supplies. I called on him weekly,as well saw him and his brother Bob at the Avon Lions Den. I stopped and visited him in Honeoye, but not near enough.. If he wasn’t wearing a smile when I stopped, I’d ask him a stupid question ,and that always led to 30 mind of laughter.. He was A1 in my book and I’m sure A1 in anyone that knew hims book.
My sincere condolences to Mrs Snyder and his children. I really valued his friendship. Mike West Livonia NY

    Andy, Brenda and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Your dad was a member of our lake family. He was always there with a smile and helping hand. He and our dad had some great fishing trips and stories! And we always turned to him when we needed his skill in collision work. You could depend on him to be fair and do a great job. We will miss hearing that laugh and knowing he was on the hill. May you and your family take comfort in happy memories and know that we share your loss.
