William Phelan - Newark, NY - Rochester Cremation

Newark, NY:  William Warren Phelan 3/24/35- 5/20/20 (at 85 years)

Son of the late William Kall and Mary Jane Phelan. Predeceased by his beloved  wife Mary Joyce of 58 years,Sisters: Susan (George) Goodrich, Nancy (Peter) Whitcomb. Survived by is his children: Scot (John),Todd, Cynthia (Douglas) Guillaume, Timothy. Three grandchildren and two great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

After attending Dean Junior college, William married his college sweet heart Mary Joyce. He served in the Army in the early 60’s. Once returning to the Rochester area he eventually worked for Sears until he retired to his horse farm Phelan Training Stables. He enjoyed many years working on the family horse farm. He very much enjoyed riding and caring for the Arabian horses. Throughout the years he also enjoyed fishing and hunting with family and friends. He enjoyed time with his children and grandchildren. As his health declined in recent years, he enjoyed  sharing stories and playing checkers with his great grandchildren. He passed peacefully in his sleep with his family nearby.

Per his request, no services will be held. Memorials may be sent to Humane Society at Lollipop Farm in Fairport NY.
