Benjamin Ray Bragg

Benjamin Bragg - Rochester, NY - Rochester Cremation

Rochester, NY:  6/21/1987 – 4/13/2020

Passed away suddenly on April 13, 2020.  Predeceased by his maternal grandfather (William Wallace) and paternal grandmother (Joanne Bragg).  He is survived by his parents Kristine and Daniel Bragg Jr, his brother Tyler Bragg and his life partner Erica Potter.  He is also survived by his maternal grandmother Mary Wallace, paternal grandfathers Daniel Bragg Sr and Paul Allen, Aunts: Michele (Jerry) Niedzwiecki of Clearwater Florida, Wendy (Vernon) Harmon of Fairport New York.  Uncles: John Wallace of Nunda New York, Jeff Kornow of Florida along with many great aunts, uncles and cousins.

Ben lived his life to its fullest, by his rules and he had no regrets.  He was loved by everyone who met him and he would always bend over backward to help anyone who was privileged enough to call him friend.

Ben worked many years for the Salvatore’s Pizza Family (Nick Pearl and family) rising from the ranks of answering phones in his early teens to being the manager of the Salvatore’s located at the Henrietta Sports Dome location.  He was a longtime patron of Dribble’s Sports Bar and could often be found there cheering on his beloved San Francisco 49 ‘ers, Tampa Bay Rays and Tampa Bay Lightning depending on the season.  Ben and Erica also loved going to Rochester Amerks games whenever they could.

The world is a little darker without our Ben in it.  He will forever be in our hearts and will be cherished and adored by his family and many friends.  He will be missed by all, but we know one day we will be reunited.  Until that time, raise your glass in remembrance of Big Ben!

A celebration of life will take place at a time when we can all safely gather together again.  We will let you all know when and where when the time comes.

If you would like to make a donation, please do so to your favorite charity in Ben’s name.

How I became such good friends with someone half my age seems strange unless you knew Ben. He was a great person and didn’t care about age, race, religion. He was as genuine and as generous as they come. R.I.P thanks for being my friend

My condolences to your family! We lost touch a bit when I left for the service but the few and far times I would see Ben after I got home, he was always so happy and excited to see me. It was so genuine, it made me feel great! He always had a smile on his face and always made sure the people around him had everything they needed. He would do anything for anyone and in fact did many things to help me throughout my life. Again, my condolences to your family, the world lost a great man.

To Erica, The Bragg and Wallace families,
My sincere condolences to you all for the loss of Ben. I never knew him in his adult life, but he sounded like a very kind and loving man. I’m so sorry, Kris, for your loss. I always wanted to meet Ben and be included in his life; but saddened knowing that that will never happen now. I pray that God gives you all strength through this and please know that I am sending prayers for you all. Erica, I’m so, so sorry. It sounds like you were his balance, and I hope you find peace. Thank you!

If everyone showed the happiness, caring and enjoyed life like Ben did this world would be an awesome place! I look to find more people like Ben to surround myself with even thought there is only one Big Ben! It is terrible when you realize how much someone will be missed when they are gone. For Ben, let’s look at the people around us and cherish then and treat them as Ben would have! Live life to the fullest as we always remember Ben. My thoughts and prayers to Erica and his family. Rest in Peace Ben!
