Bill was my big brother, my protector, my hero, my loving friend. I will miss him terribly, but I know he is no longer suffering with his Parkinson’s Disease. I am hoping he is with our mom and dad and in a tense game of Bridge, Spite and Malice, Russian Bank or Crazy Eights with them!
If I haven’t said it enough, my heart goes out to the love of Bill’s life, his husband, Bruce. I thank you for taking such great care of my brother during his final years, months and days. I am so sorry for your loss and mourn with you.
My Brother Bill;even tho there was a seven year gap between us I still looked up to my brother ,who taught me a lot about how to become the person i’am today.BILL was a very multiple talented person[a perfectionist in pretty must everything he did)Bill loved to work with his hands; gardens, remodeling of homes, flowers that he made by hand and sold at art fair, painting’s,sculptures, landscaper, home decorator, commercial artist and the list goes on.my brother worked for B.FORMAN CO. was in charge of there ads that the newspaper ran every day and their window display’s that seemed to come to life especially at Christmas time.i l enjoyed being able to just drop in and my brother would drop what he was doing and we talk as he was sharing what he was working on.my brother was a collector of masks, art work, nutcracker’s,Eskimo sculpture and list goes on.my brother collected animals as well.my Brother was honest, caring,a great host, hard worker, teacher, had a sense of humor, enjoyed kids, and the list goes on and on.I will miss my older bother But my love for him will never fade because of the memories we made along the way.
The world has truly lost a beautiful person. Words can never describe how much He means to us all . Uncle Bruce I am truly so saddened and sorry for your loss , but I am so great full that you both have each other and I will echo Aunt Nancy and say thank you Uncle Bruce for always taking good care of Uncle Bill in sickness and in health . I Will always love that about you both. Uncle Bill is one of the greatest people I know And I am so thankful for him. I refuse to speak of him in the past tense because he will always be here and I will live his spirit everyday And celebrate how wonderful he is. You are terribly missed my wonderful Uncle.
Causing much heaviness in my heart, I recently found out that Bill Root passed away. Bill was such a special and wonderful person. He was always so kind and loving towards me and my family, a great friend. A dedicated and gifted professional Interior Designer, always thinking about the need and situation of others, and never running out of time and efforts until you were satisfied. He always went above and beyond. I will miss him so much, and I want to express my most felt condolences to Bruce and his family, and pray for their consolation, may you find peace and comfort in knowing how much Bill was loved by so many including me. I will always remember Bill. Wanda Perez
Dear Bruce, I don’t know if you’ll ever see this, but I’m so sad to read about Bill’s passing. I was watching a movie, a man I from the past who we all knew was in it, I remembered his name, but couldn’t recall who his model girlfriend was. I thought of Bill, knew he’d know it so I googled him, and sadly I saw this.
I’m Carol Carter, I worked with him, in the art dept at Forman’s, he had a great influence on me and while it was work and some memories are less than pleasant, memories of his sense of humor, ability to encourage, teach, design and his incredible artistic talent, and get in there and get his hands dirty will always be how I think of him and more.
I fondly remember both of you handsome men! With my love and hope you’re well. Carol
