Penfield, NY: Our dearest mother went peacefully to the hereafter from her home, on March 5th, she was 92. Predeceased by her husband of 69 years, Glenn A. Hider and grandson Daniel P. Suter. She is survived by her brother, Robert Wayman and sister Ruth Whalen, and children Andrea McClure (Jim), Glenn, Keith, Lauren (Mark Kranick); 9 grandchildren and 4 great- grandchildren.
Patricia was a native Rochesterian. She graduated with an Art Degree from RIT. Her art skills were evident in the paintings she produced in her early years and in 67 years of tending her gardens; full of color and textures all year. She was a member for many years of The Engineering Women’s Association and local gardening club. Being an avid outdoor enthusiast, she belonged to several area hiking groups. Her love of the seasons and nature took Patricia and her beloved husband on many excursions extensively all all over upstate New York and around the country. As a result, that love of the outdoors lives on in all of her children. First and foremost, however, Patricia is remembered for her undying love and commitment as a mother and a wife. She “always wanted to be a Mother “; she believed that was what she was meant to do. The family would like to thank Lauren Hider and Mark Kranick for their devoted care given to our Mother in their home this last year of her life.
The family is respecting her wishes to forego a service. Donations may be made to Patricia’s favorite charity, the Humane Society.
