Spencerport, NY: Passed peacefully on October 28, 2021 with his family by his side.
Born July 16, 1939 in Castle Shannon, PA. Bill is survived by his devoted wife of 58 years Theresa and adoring children William J of Chicago, IL and Jeanne (Jeff) Wood of Farmington; brother Albert of Castle Shannon, PA; sisters Martha (Glenn) Dugan of Chula Vista, CA, Eileen (James) Brown of Indianapolis, IN; sisters-in-law Lavoune (Carl) Charnesky and Helen Verstraeten of Pittsburgh, PA; many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Anthony and Frances; brother Robert.
Bill worked for 46 years as a heating and air conditioning contractor. He owned and operated Marcin Heating, Inc for the last 27 of those years. He was a dedicated family man. His friends and employees were an extension of his family. He regularly enjoyed socializing with them all. He was particularly fond of organizing and participating in a large annual clam bake for over 40 years. Bill was always up for new experiences and traveled to numerous places in and out of the country. If you knew Bill, you know he was a man of few words. He never complained, was generous, humble and kind. If you called him, even after a long, hard day of work, he would say “What can I do for you?” And be happy to help. He was a great man and will sorely be missed.
A special thanks to Ronald Wisniski for his continued love and support, thoughtful neighbors Fred and Becky Rodgers, Corey and Jamie Newell for their many acts of kindness and the staff at Hildebrandt House for their compassionate care.

I was very sad to hear of Bill’s passing. He was a kind old soul who always had a smile and I always enjoyed meeting him at the end of our driveways to chat. He kept a watchful eye on our neighborhood and my family all the time and often on Friday mornings I could hear him dragging in our garbage cans and recycling containers from my office above. I think we had only moved in 1-2 weeks when he came over and helped me fix my mower. He was a friendly and helpful man. We would all be lucky to have neighbors as pleasant and kind as the Marcin’s. He will be greatly missed and I only wish that I can be half as good a man as Bill. Our condolences to his wife Theresa and their family. God bless.
great man and friend
Rest In Peace, Bill…. The world was a better place with you in it 💔
I was so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing, but thankful it was peaceful and both Bill and Jeanne were home with you both. I remember many hours spent in the company of your family; it seemed an extension of our own. Bill was quiet with us kids, but always had a kind word and a smile. He was never flustered or impatient, always so calm and good-natured. Take care of each other.
Worked for Carrier for several years and Bill was always a great customer. Never complained and always thoughtful! I don’t know what made me check on this, it was just a feeling. Prayers to his wife and family. He spoke of them with great pride. You will be missed my friend.
