Susan M. Miller, RN, age 71, embarked on her greatest adventure— to heaven— on 10/28/21. Predeceased by parents, Alfred and Mary Miller, and son Robert Schachtner. Survived by son, Michael (Andrea) Schachtner; grandson, Franz Schachtner; granddaughter, Eisele Schachtner; sister, Marilyn Sillence; and many dear nieces, nephews and friends.
Born in Rochester, New York, she spent most of her life doing a job she loved. She worked as a registered nurse in emergency rooms and nursing homes in Rochester, NY, NYC, and the Palm Beach area of Florida. She was an avid traveler with an adventurous spirit. She often traveled to foreign countries alone, making several new friends along the way. A devoted mother and grandmother, she also loved spending time with her family.
The family will hold a celebration of Susan’s life in the summer of 2022.
Sue you were a joy to work with and a treat to know! Great smile. Great story teller. Cool under pressure. You will not be forgotten.
Sue. My dear friend. How lucky was I to become one of your friends. So many happy times together, working, traveling, laughing and enjoying life in each other’s company. You will always be remembered with love. Your trials are over. Your journey is complete, but your memory will live on.
Sue you will be greatly missed. I have many fun filled memories . You have embarked on your greatest of all journeys! May your family find comfort in their many memories of you.
