John C. Sorg, 67, of Kent, NY passed away peacefully at Unity Hospital from a long term illness on October 7th, 2022. John was born on August 18th, 1955, in Albion NY to Jakob & Theresia Sorg. John is survived by his wife of 38 years Sharlene Sorg (Webster) and his 3 children, Jason (Andrea) Sorg of Rochester NY, Megan Sorg of Kent NY and Devon Sorg (Allison Maus) of Brockport NY. 4 very well-loved grandchildren Lilah Loveland, Levi Loveland, Dustin Loveland Jr, & Julian Sorg. His Brothers Helmuth (Terri) Sorg of Arizona, Charles (Chuck) Sorg of Kent, NY. Sister Linda (Don) Siracusa of Rochester NY, childhood friend Samuel Gardner of Louisiana & many well-loved family and friends. He was predeceased by his parents and very missed nephew Brian Furness.
He was an avid gardener down to his last days, enjoyed watching his news shows and a good football game or two.
John’s Celebration of Life will be held on December 22, 2022 from 5pm-9pm at The Black North Inn at Point Breeze, Kent , NY. GO JETS!!
