ROCHESTER, NY – October 10, 2022. John is predeceased by his parents, Stanley and Louise Pabrinkis, and brother, Michael Pabrinkis. He is survived by his daughters, Ali (Johnny) Erevia, Karen (Ronald) Frear; son, Daniel (Lynne) Pabrinkis; sisters Mary Lou Pabrinkis and Pat Welsh. Grandchildren Ronnie Frear, Shannon Frear, Jenna Pabrinkis, and Ryan Pabrinkis; and nieces and nephews.
John was a graduate of the University of Rochester, and throughout his career as a computer analyst he worked at Eastman Kodak, Bausch and Lomb, and Corning Glass. In addition, he was an adjunct mathematics professor at RIT. He was a proud member of Mensa for much of his adult life.
His hobbies included theater and performing arts (a long-time performer with Greece Paint Players, Kodactors, Penfield Players, Newark Players, and others), reading, and antiquing. John was a master of puns, lover of games and puzzles, and always did the Sunday Crossword in pen.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to make a donation to a local theater or arts organization of your choosing.
Calling hours and a celebration of life will be held on Saturday, October 22nd from 10:00am-1:00pm at Rochester Cremation, 1118 Long Pond Road in the Town of Greece.
