Mitchell Raymond Otho Bacot

Mitchell Raymond Otho Bacot - Rochester Cremation

Beloved Mitchell Raymond Otho Bacot passed away onward to his Home & Savior, Jesus Christ, on March 14, 2024.  Pi day.  Suiting, since he was a math instructor and pi is reminiscence to infinity.  He was 42, six days shy of his 43rd birthday.  He was “joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer” (Romans 12:12).  He was a son and grandson, a brother, nephew, husband, father, and friend to many.  His identity was first, a child of God, and it remains so, for eternity.

He was born in Bryn Mawr, Pennsylvania on March 20, 1981, to his parents Karen Diane & Randy Ray Bacot.  His legacy lives on with his family; wife, Jenamarie, children, Abishai (15), Micah (13), Hezekiah (12), Shiloh (9), Joah (7) & Ezra (4), dog, Snowy; his mother, Karen, sisters, Amber (Scott) Fitzgerald, Carly (Nathan) Bear and nieces, Jordan, Scarlett, Saige, Hannah, Whitney & Brooklyn; nephews, Austin, Finian, Liam & Jacob. Grandparents Rosemarie “Nana” Onley, Nancy “Mammaw” Bacot, and Julian Bacot.  Many uncles & aunts and cousins. He is preceded by his father, Randy and grandfather, Wendell Onley.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 11 am at Anchor Christian Church, 375 Beaver Road, Rochester, NY 14624.  A reception to follow.  For those who cannot attend, the service will be live streamed.  Please go to anchorchristian.org for further information.  Because of the small size of our sanctuary, we humbly and respectfully ask for priority to go to family members and wheelchair users.  Once the sanctuary is full, you may be escorted to rooms close by in our church building that will have the event live streamed on a tv.  In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Children’s Tumor Foundation (CTF.org), earmark your donation to “NF2 research/clinical trial” in Mitchell’s memory.

We ask, as a gift to his family, between now and the service, you would consider taking some time to write about your story with Mitchell and/or include a picture (or a few!) and bring it to the service (we will have a designated box for this) or you can email your story at bacotlegacy@gmail.com.  Yours and the stories of many others will be put together to become Beloved Mitchell’s legacy book.  If you have already sent your story, we kindly ask you to send it again using the gmail address above.  Our children are young, your stories will allow them to know and remember their beautiful father.  Thank you.

Mary Jane, I am Mitchell’s Mom and appreciate all you have done with Hezekiah in teaching a love for the piano. He thinks highly of you and we love hearing him play. I do hope he continues and works hard with this gift he has. . Unfortunately, Mitchell could never hear his playing, but I’m sure he loved that Hezekiah had something to work hard on and keep his mind and hands busy. Thank you for all your prayers and support for. the family.
