Daniel (Dan) Hults, 64, of Bath, NY passed away on August 17 th , 2024.

Dan was born April 16 th , 1960, in Bath, NY to Russell and Nora Hults. Dan was a 1977 graduate of Dundee Central School. His love for driving tractor trailers began as a teenager. “If you love what you do, you never work a day in your life.” Throughout his over 40-year career, Dan was able to visit all lower 48 states. Dan’s driving career included hauling cattle for David Mattison, George O’Malley, and Richard Mattison. He worked for himself and Kingsway Trucking for a brief time before working for Dutch Hoag (Howard’s Express). Dan worked several years for Andy Coblentz hauling mini-storage buildings for Wayne Dalton.

Dan had a strong love for history and would share this passion with his two daughters on their yearly trips across the U.S. After he retired from trucking, he loved to spend his summers camping with his
friends at Campers Haven.

Dan was pre-deceased by his father Russell, mother Nora, brothers Larry and Don. He is survived by his daughters, Danielle (Jason) Sears and their two daughters, Brittany (Joel) McDonald and their son and daughter, his “adopted” children Bonnalyn (Steve) Towner and their two sons and daughter, and Ivan Ames. He is also survived by his siblings, Francis, Cheryl, Debbie, Phillip, and Suzie, as well as several nieces and nephews and close friends.

In lieu of traditional services, the family will hold a celebration of life at a later date.
