Errol Earl Brown

Errol Earl Brown - Rochester Cremation

Errol Earl Brown, Rochester, New York, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his family, on Saturday, August 17, 2024. He was born in Kingston, Jamaica, West Indies on April 7th, 1951 to Adrian and Linda Brown. His formative years were in Jamaica, where he attended High School. Upon receiving his Diploma, he migrated to the United States.

Errol is predeceased by his parents, brothers; Ricky, Wallace, Arthur, and his sister Annie. He is survived by his sister Sonia, brothers; Delroy, Adrian Jr., Harold, Derrick, and several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He retired from Van Reenen Tool and Die company, where he spent the majority of his career. He was an avid fisherman, loved tennis, football (Buffalo Bills fan), and playing dominoes and other board games.

During his illness, Errol was always optimistic and consciously aware of life. He was always protective of me, telling me to be careful whenever I leave the house, and would  eagerly await my return. Dear God, we ask that you grant him in death, the peace that was his life’s quest. We ask that you help him now to catch his breath, and lead him to a place where he can rest.

Special and heart-felt thank you to his doctors and staff at Rochester General Hospital, Lipson Cancer center, and the Hospice Team for their compassionate care. Please send donations to the Lipson Cancer at Rochester General Hospital.

A Memorial Service will be held for Errol in the near future.

    To Errol’s family,
Please accept my condolences on the passing of Errol. I met Errol through my brother in law, Ric VanReenen & my sister Patty VanReenen. I recall Errol as a gentleman who was always soft spoken and kind. I was saddened to hear about his illness, even more saddened at his passing. May God be with you as you grieve your brother. Hold tight to your memories.
