Alan attended Gates Chili High School Class graduating in 1973. He attended MCC earning an associates in applied science in accounting in 1976. Alan was employed at Eastman Kodak for 26 years hoping to retire from there, but life had other plans. He worked as a production coordinator at Unither Pharmaceuticals until retiring in January of 2022 to spend much needed time with Lin and his sons. Bicycling, concerts, trips out west and to favorite destinations, became our passion. We conquered many rail, canal and greenway trails in the area and around Ithaca. We even biked around Conesus Lake last summer! Despite the cancer diagnoses in 2019 we enjoyed life to the fullest. Alan’s strength and willingness to conquer anything kept him going. This summer cancer began to take over and Al fought so hard. We brought him home and eventually he needed assisted care at the Advent House. Lin, Bryan and Brandon were at his side and said their goodbyes and shared their final thoughts. Alan also expressed his final thoughts…
“I would like to say a special thank you to the numerous friends and family that have been along on this crazy thing called life with us.”
May the wind be at your back…
All my love, Lin

Alan was a good man. I’m proud to have known him and even more proud to call him my friend. Rest in peace my friend.
Al was a great guy!
Linda, I’m so sorry for your loss. Al was a good friend we had a lot of fun when we worked together at Kodak. My prayers go out to and your family.
He was a good neighbor when we lived on Bailey Rd together! Prayers for all. Linda and boys hold fast to fond memories and the laughter you shared.
Thinking of you all at this time.
My sympathies,
Cheryl Thompson
Many great memories with my cousin and friend
Rest easy now and shine in God’s heavenly light
You know I’m here if you need me.
Al was a great guy and you both made the best of the hand you were dealt.
I know he’s out of pain now, and with you deep in your heart.
Alan was an amazing neighbor ~ the whole family was! Made us feel welcome as soon as we moved in. From bringing us candy on Halloween to sharing drinks from across the fence, he was always smiling and had a kind word to say. We missed you when you moved but our paths still crossed. We love you Agnello family and you are in our prayers.
