Denise Angela Terrell
Rochester, NY – October 1st, 2024, passed away at the age of 72. Denise (better known as Angie) is predeceased by parents Rebecca Sevella Griffin and Sam Godwin, beloved surrogate parents James Sr. and Francys Little, brother James “Hoppy” Little Jr. and ex-husband Harold K. Terrell. She is survived by children: Timothy Lamar (Susan) and Kimberly Renea (Andre Porrata) Terrell; grandchildren: Marianna Porrata, McKenzie and Mikayla Carlos, three Sisters; Beatrice Harris, Debby Atkins (Carl) Joy Little sister-in-law Anita Little and a host of nieces’, nephews’, cousins and friends.
Angie’s love of children led her to attain her Certification in Early Childhood Development and pursue a career with Rochester Psychiatric Center Childcare Center as a Preschool Teacher and later as Assistant Director at Jack and Jill Daycare Center for over 15 years.
Angie had a very outgoing personality and willingness to help others which drove her to Volunteer work for many of her later years at St. Mark’s and St. John’s Episcopal Church with The Food Pantry, The Community Garden and wherever else needed.
Angie was a very lively and feisty lady who liked to laugh and have fun. She enjoyed music events, dancing, and could most often be found walking the neighborhood streets with her fur-baby, Smokey. She lived life on her own terms and loved her family unconditionally.

To Tim. & Kim, and all my family, I’d like to offer my deepest condolences on the loss of your mother, grandmother, sister, cousin & friend. I have fond memories of my cuzn Angie throughout all the years growing up and as adults. My most fondest memories was when she cane to stay with me and my kids for a spell. We had some great times together, memories which I will always cherish as long as I have breath in my body!!!! I pray that the comfort of your own memories will give you immense joy and comfort….Angie was FULL of laughter and LIFE. I will miss her smile, her occasional studder (lol) her impeccable taste in home design, and her love for life. Journey on Angiehold on to the Lord’s mighty hand and I will see you on the other side.

My Sincere Condolences to Tim,Kim and our family, we use to have so much fun. I remember staying with her and Harold on the weekends along with all of the places we would visit. I also remember the gatherings @#85 Shelter St. It’s never easy saying Goodbye to Family the memories will always be there. Rest Easy Cousin.
