Joseph Charles Zambito, Jr.
August 11, 1964 – March 14, 2017
Addison, NY: Joe passed away peacefully at the age of 52 on March 14, 2017. He is predeceased by his parents, Joseph and Susan Zambito, and sister, Phyllis Price. Joe is survived by his loving children, Dana (Nick) Rodak, and Emily Zambito (Mike Hughes), fiancé, Tracy Hall, grandchildren, Brianna and Nicky Rodak, brothers, Donnie (Deena), Tom (Carol), Fred (Dawn), Bobby (Leann Reisinger), along with many other family and friends.
Calling hours will be held Saturday March 18th from 11AM – 1PM with a memorial service immediately following from 1-2PM at The Chapel of Peace Mausoleum located at Riverside Cemetery; 2650 Lake Avenue, Rochester.
In lieu of flowers, Joe would request a donation to your local animal shelter or his favorite rescue group “Rescue Dogs Rock NYC” in his memory.
The world lost a great man. Angel to animals. Friend to many. And a great sense of humor
Please accept our sincere condolences Zambito family and Ms. Tracy. Joe lived life with meaning and passion, a lesson we all need to follow. I feel honored that i could call him friend and mentor, especially in dog rescue world. Joe made an impact on everyone he met. When you loose someone so very special, you feel empty and hollow, but keep in mind, Joe would be swearing and complaining to knock it off and keep rescuing. Again, zambito family, i am so deeply sorry for your familys loss. Prayers to all.

My sincere condolences to Tracy and family,he will be greatly missed by all his friends in the rescue world,we lost a great advocate for the unwanted,abuse and neglected dogs,the rainbow bridge has gained a perfect angel,RIP my friend,I know all the animals up there are loving and are welcoming your entrance,you will and already are missed.
To my cousin Joe’s daughter’s also his brother’s and wives also the woman who loved him and took care of him Tracy!!! Joe left a lot of family and friend I think he has more 4 legged friends that he rescured and loved a lot!!!!I know he had 2 grandchildren he loved to the world and back!!!! I esspecially remember when his granddaughter was born he was so happy!!!!
When we grew up he was always in trouble and he changed his life around!!! He use to drive his mom crazy but Aunt Sue loved him and he was her baby!!!!! I will always remember all the good times we had as children growing up!!!He was my cousin and also my brother!!!! He will always live on in everything he has done in life!!!! He will be missed and loved!!!!!

Joe was one of the most passionate animal advocates ever and will be greatly missed by all of us in the rescue community. His devotion, drive and commitment towards helping the helpless were second to none. I feel honored to have known him. May he rest in peace and inspire us all from his heavenly perch.
Joe we all miss you so so very much! It’s not the same in the rescue world without you. I am so heartbroken for your family and is friends and those pitties. You meant something in this world. You stood your ground for zero tolerance in animal abuse and neglect. Fly high with the Angels. I hope you’re behaving a wee bit up there. God bless you always. You left a legacy behind. You’re not someone that’s easily forgotten. Always in my heart. God Bless you.
